The Tour de Cause is a bicycle tour of Fairfield County covered bridges that benefits the community. It will be held on Saturday, July 16. All proceeds benefit The Recovery Center. Please contact us or contact the Tour de Cause if you can help in the following areas:

Rest Stop Captain

We have a new 20 mile route with a rest stop in Baltimore at Hoffman’s.  We need one captain who can be there from 8:30 until 3:00.  The rest stop will have a tent, porta potty, table and chairs.  Supplies must be picked up that morning at OU-L and returned.

Rest Stop Helpers

We need 2-3 others to help out at this stop.  This can be done in shifts as long as we have at least 3 people there during the time of operation, including the Captain.

Runners

We are in desperate need of 2 or 3 runners who can help out during the day running supplies to rest stops (ice, water, drinks, etc) as they run low.  We also need help transporting pizza from Cristy’s to OU-L.  These volunteers will use their own vehicles but can claim mileage on their taxes for this year.  This can be done in shifts as well.

Cookies

We need lots of homemade cookies for the Friday night kick off event.  We are hoping for 500-700 people so if you like to bake, we would be very grateful.
