Incredible Answers to our Prayers
We are so grateful to our friends at Covenant Christian Church and to our Savior for this incredible turn of events!
Life Church will meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am beginning June 5th!
Life Church began just four short months ago. Jason, Becky, Marilyn and Ron Grubb, supported by the Life Church Launch Team, had been praying about how to set in motion the calling we had begin a new church. At that time we approached Covenant Christian Church with our hat in our hand, and asked if they could find it in their hearts to allow us to use their facility. They were using their facility on Sundays but graciously agreed for us to use their facility on Saturday evenings.
Bringing hundreds of people together under one roof is not an easy task. It involves parking, restroom facilities, a worship center and multiple rooms for children. Renting typical public spaces like a hotel conference room or a high school auditorium requires set-up and tear-down each week along with inordinate amounts of investment and storage; all of which stretches budgets and volunteers to their breaking point. And so for us to be able to walk into an established worship center like Covenant Christian Church was an incredible privilege—an incredible answer to our prayers.
Beginning in the cold days of January we were blown away by the faithfulness of the people who would come to church on a Saturday night! However we soon realized that as we approached the warm days of spring; the active lifestyles of our young families (recreation/sports, family outings, lawn care) would compete for their attention on Saturday nights.
From the beginning, many interested in Life Church had requested that we find some way to meet on Sundays. The Launch Team again began to pray, asking the Lord to meet on Sundays and our prayers were quickly answered! Pastor Dennis Coll and the Elders of Covenant approached us the next week about the possibility of purchasing their facility and its property. We were astounded by the Lord’s direct response to our prayers and we have begun the process with Covenant to assure a godly transfer of the building and its property.
Although we are in the early stages of this transfer we are able to announce that beginning Sunday, June 5th, Life Church will begin meeting regularly on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM for worship, teaching and fellowship. Another incredible aspect of this agreement is that it will not require a fundraising campaign by Life Church. We are so grateful to Covenant and to our Savior for this incredible turn of events.
