Life Church welcomed Debbie Van Atta, founder of Bookbags for the Homeless. Debbie’s idea to help a handful of homeless people in Lancaster has grown into a massive stockpile of supplies that had to be moved into a storage building. She provides over 200 backpacks each month filled with items such as personal care toiletries, warm outerwear, assistance information and a pocket-sized Bible.
The following donations are urgently needed:
- Book bags (new or used)
- Can openers
- Deodorant
- 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner
- Rain ponchos
There is a crate beside the Welcome Center for your donations This is an ongoing project and we will also be handing out these items at our Easter service.
