What to Expect
Welcome to Life Church Vineyard!
Thank you for choosing to worship with us today! It is our hope that you connect with God in a real way
during your time with us. Our service begins at 10 and ends at 11:15 and during that time we worship
God in several ways including through worship, announcements, communion, giving of our finances,
teaching from the Bible, and prayer ministry.
Before Service…come early for fellowship
«From 9:30 to 10:00 AM, enjoy fellowship over a morning coffee in the Atrium.
« If you’re joining us for the first time, we’d love to meet you at the Connect Center. Come
introduce yourself, receive a welcome gift, and let us help you get connected.
« If you have children, they can enjoy a book or puzzle in our Children’s Nook before check-in
opens at 9:45. Youth, grades 6-12, can play a game of pool or simply hang out together in the
Rooted Youth Room until service begins.
« Visit our Resource Area where you will find free Bibles, devotionals, and other church &
community resources.
« Be sure to grab a name tag in the atrium on your way into service each week, whether this is
your first visit or you’re a long-time member of this church family. And each week, say hello to
someone you haven’t met.
Children & Youth
We divide our Sunday school classes based on age: Sprouts (0-36 months), Saplings (3-5 years), The
Grove (K-5th grade), Rooted Youth (6—9 th grade).
« Check-in for our children in nursery through 5th grade begins at 9:45. Feel free to come earlier
than that and allow your children to enjoy a book or puzzle in our Children’s Nook while you
grab a coffee and some conversation. Our check-in window is located in the atrium on the wall
opposite the sanctuary doors. Children are signed in by parents or guardians and receive a name
tag to wear during their classes. After check-in, children can report immediately to their rooms
for class. All children will be released from their classrooms to the parent who signed them in
according to our sign-in sheets at the conclusion of the service.
« Youth grades 6—12 th worship with their families in the adult service. At the conclusion of
worship, grades 6—9 th will be released to their class in the Rooted Youth Room. Grades 10—12 th
participate fully in the adult service on Sunday mornings and are encouraged to join a volunteer
team. Our Rooted Youth Group, for grades 6—12 th , meets every Wednesday 7—8pm here at the
church.
« The safety of our children & youth is our first priority. We pray you feel safe leaving your
children with our volunteers as each volunteer over 18 years of age has received a background
check verification by Protect My Ministry.
« If you need to keep your child with you and they need fed, changed or become fussy, please visit
our comfortable Baby Care Room (access from the rear of the sanctuary or atrium) where you
can tend to the needs of your little one while you see and hear the service.
Welcome & Announcements
« We begin each service promptly at 10am with a warm welcome and some announcements. This
will inform you about things of importance within our church family or our community.
« We want to know you! Please fill out a Response Card located in the seat back in front of you so
we can pray for you, hear your ideas and keep you updated about upcoming events. Response
Cards and financial gifts to the church may be placed in the locked box between the sanctuary
doors.
« Bibles are located under the seat of the chair in front of you. Feel free to use those during
service if you forgot yours, or if you don’t have a Bible and would like one, please take one of
these Bibles home with you. It is our gift to you!
« Check out the Announcements tab each week here on The Hub for more information on the
events and happenings within our church family and community. It’s the place to go to stay
connected!
Worship
« Sorry, our fog machine is broken… Worship isn’t entertainment, it’s a time to tell God how
wonderful He is! We draw near to Him through music and praise.
« We also worship through personal testimonies as someone shares their “Life Story” in an
interview with a pastor. These truthful testimonies demonstrate God’s faithfulness and offer
hope in the midst of sickness, unfaithfulness, addiction and despair.
« Please feel free to partake of open communion on either side of the sanctuary, where there are
also people available to pray and talk with you. We share communion together as a
congregation on the first Sunday of the month.
Tithes and Offerings
« When you give to Life Church, 10% is immediately set aside for benevolence (extending
kindness) and used first to help the families in our church family and then within our community
and beyond. You can give by check or cash (placing your financial gift in the locked box between
the doors of the sanctuary), or give online one-time or set up a recurring gift through your bank
or the Elexio Community app, through our church website, or text-to-give 740.218.5518. Find

Teaching
« The Sunday sermon is sometimes humorous, often insightful, and always Biblical, culturally
relevant and personally challenging.
Response & Prayer Ministry
« Each week at the end of the teaching, we will give you the opportunity to respond to the
message through prayer and worship. This can be done by going to the sides of the sanctuary
and asking a person on our prayer team to pray with you (look for the red lanyards that say
“prayer team”); kneel at the altar (the steps around the front of the stage) for some time with
just you and God; or respond to the Lord through worship at your seat (maybe you simply open
your hands in front of you as a sign of your willingness to receive whatever God has for you
today).
